From headstands to hurling, we love being active in 4th class! Here are just a few photos of the many activities which we enjoy.
Well done to all the children for their hard work today on our annual Spring Clean. Donning gloves and protective clothing, we headed for Dunworley Beach, gathering every piece of rubbish along the way. It was fantastic to see the young people take such good care of their locality and show pride of place.
Thank you to Clara Moloney who left a box of treats for the hard-working volunteers! At work in the School Garden
Budding Gardeners planted early potatoes in March. A trip to Seán Whelton's farm provided us with rich fertiliser which we mixed with our own school compost. We optimistically await a rich crop in the Summer! |

St. Brigid's Crosses in aid of the Bumblance
Children, Grandparents, parents and aunts marked the arrival of Spring and our patron saint by making St. Brigid’s crosses. The assembly hall turned into a sea of rushes and every child in the class busily wove crosses. Fr. Dave came to the school and blessed them. I hope they have pride of place in our homes.
